His name is Lawrence David Dale and I met him on Match.com. According to him, his birthday is October 18, 1962. He began texting through 2 phone numbers. 1-856-513-2937 & 301-200-0022. Email addresses dalelawrenzo@yahoo.com, daledavid49@yahoo.com. Prior to this, I have not heard from him for several weeks and quite suspiciously he stopped texting me when I told him about another scammer that I had met on Match.com. On January 28, 2013, he starts texting me again saying that he did not receive any of my texts since he was in the UK. He says that he is a Pipeline engineer with a graduate degree in Marine Metallurgical Engineering. He went to Melbourne, Australia for undergraduate school and his second degree was from Dublin Ireland but later he told me it was from Oxford in the UK. Later changed the story to that he went to Junior High in Dublin Ireland and college at the University College of Dublin, UK. First he tells me that he has lived in Maryland for about 2 months in Ellicott City. Later I asked him about this and he told me that he worked in Texas for 9 months and was staying at the Tremont hotel at St Paul Street in Baltimore. He never really rented or bought his own house here in the states and work brought him to the Maryland because that was the location of the presentation for the job was held. He said that he maintained the BP oil rig in Alaska for 5 months when he first came to the states.
He signed up for Match while living in Ellicott City when he lost the contract. He tells me that he is originally from Australia and moved to the UK after his brother moved there. He has worked in Africa, Italy, Holland (Shell Petroleum for 8 years and stationed in Holland for 3 years) before the UK. He is working in the US on a work visa and has 3 years left on it and says that he has a friend with British Petroleum who can give him an extension. He gets a job in Alaska on Endicott Island for Exxon, leaving on February 1, 2013. As we talk there are more inconsistencies with multiple people (accountant, niece, pick up people) involved but many actually all be him. Especially true for the accountant since I am talking to him and he tells me the accountant sent me an email and I didn’t receive an email and all of a sudden the email shows up.
Also, says he has a brother who died several months ago and send a picture of himself with his brother. Also, says that he cannot access internet so asks you to access his account to send money for supplies. the account is fake. He also says he has a niece, Jenny, who wants to talk with you.
Her email is sweetjenny98@ymail.com

All the above is true. It's exactly the same story he gave me. He is very good at this and I'm pretty sharp and apart from a couple of things that made me wary he sounded very real.

As at 1 February 2016, I had this guy tell the exact same story. Same pictures, different last name tho' he's going by Celio Holdt now ceilidh@gmail.com. Didn't ask for money but said he was short $6000 to pay for the parts that were stolen after an accident happened and a crane driver lost his life, to finish the job and it needed to go on whilst he was away supposedly back in Australia). I paid for tickets to meet the guy this Saturday! Had i gotten on the plane to Sydney I would have been devastated as there would have been no one there to meet me at the airport! He's a brilliant scammer, very personable, very charming. I thought it was strange that he would only be on the phone for a short while and hang up, there were no long phone conversations and his voice instead of sounding German sounded like he was a black south african man! I should have twigged then. It was only when he said that he was short on the money and the insurance was making him pay and then would give him a refund that I said I could help him out, he said no I don't want to do that. But then quickly turned around and said I may need to take that loan from you as I need to have this sorted out by tomorrow if I'm to make the flight home... So then I got online and found this site and the photos! Thank god for this site. Instead of losing $6000.00 I have to pay extra on some flights to reschedule them, a minor issue really but still not okay to have someone take advantage of my life and my feelings like that.

Born in Berlin, from Pankow and moved to the States then came to Australia and married Aussie wife who developed a drug habit and cheated on him with best friend for 3 years. Working in Kuala Lumpur as Mechanical Engineer, parents both dead, only child with one son Sean studying MBA in London. Lives in The Rocks Sydney. All of a sudden there's an accident at the work site and one man lost his life two others injured, sent through photos of the accident at the site. Then next day a break in at the site and parts have been stolen, that urgently need to be replaced. Problem with the Insurance company. He was exceptionally convincing, I do not know how he managed to answer all of my questions with the 'right' answers but he did even down to the same type of favourite dog in common!!! I am an intelligent person but he sucked me in, thank god I twigged but not after having spent money on flights to Sydney!!! I should have also known then as he didn't offer to help me pay for them considering we were to be meeting each other for the first time, I did't want to sound stingy for asking him to meet me half way with the cost of the flight!!! And the whole introductory email I received was exactly as posted on here by someone else, very long and sounding very genuine, I did have a slight thought upon receiving it had it been rehearsed or saved for other women, but chose not to listen to my intuition! This guy is good, he is really good. So don't be too hard on yourself for falling for it, I did and I'm so disappointed and disillusioned by the fact that this has actually happened to me! We actually even had a couple of disagreements about stuff, it makes you wonder what goes on in this person's head when he is doing this to so many different women... Animal.

He is using Celio Holdt as his name all same photos and info. Email is celiohdt@gmail.com and mobile number is 0478 933 258. Lives in the Rocks Sydney and currently in KL as a mechanical engineer, same bullshit lengthy intro email and fake accident and tools stolen and fake insurance claim needing $6000 to cover costs so as to get back to Sydney in time to meet up!! Called his bluff with all of his aliases. Hope he gets caught... thank god for this webpage :-) I met him on Tinder where he says he is only looking for a serious committed monogamous relationship and no one night stands blah blah blah

Was matched on Tinder. He was using Celiohdt@gmail.com before he realised I was suspicious only after asking if I could help out with meeting the extra costs for new tools. I asked if he was joking and suggested he could try robbing a bank. He went off line on viber and stopped contact. This man is clever and good at waylaying doubt. Called me honey, baby and love. Didn't use my name except in the first couple of emails. Sent me a airline ticket receipt to convince me he is returning to Sydney even with an actual flight time for Malaysian airlines. He uses the same email, text by viber pattern as described in earlier comments. I thought it was a little strange when he only texted back mushy short phrases and avoided telling me much else. I was suspicious at the start but he said 'I have to trust or this will never work'. I am glad I never went as far as making firm arrangements to meet although feel a annoyed I sent him photos of my family. He has been operating for years and it is a shame as I am sure he has eroded the trust of many women. I am not sure but I wonder if it is a group of scammers.

Thank God for Google Image search! My mother in law started talking to thisguy last month, but I didn't think anything of him being a scammer at the time. She was just going on and on about how she found this amazing guy on meetme.com he is going by the name of James Lawrence. Supposedly she's a big wig engineer. Has a 10 year old daughter and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was supposed to meet her but ended up having to go to Malaysia. He was telling her he want to marry her and she would never have to work again. She feel for all of his lies. My husband told me that this James guy asked his mom for money ($4,000) which she doesn't have. Shenis struggling to make ends meat as it is!! Thats when I instantly got suspicious!!! Why does a big wig engineer who makes so much money need a small loan from a stranger? ? So I got what information I could from his mom about this James guy...Pictures, first and last name, phone number and got to work on Google. First picture I searched was a hit. All i seen was scammer, scammer, scammer!!! My heart dropped! I knew this guy was to good to.be true! I instantly got on the phone with her and told her to stop talking to this guy like now and to get over to my house so i could show her what I just discovered. She was definitely in awe and at first I didn't think she believed me. Well today he texted her saying he missed her blah, blah, blah. Well she called him out in his bullshit and he didn't respond for 2 hours. All he had to say was 'please stop contacting me' 'why am I a.scammer' she listed off all the dating sites that he had been on and he never responded. So I hope he leaves her alone!!! I'm just glad I did what i did, when I did before things went any further.

I too, have just been scammed by Celio Bechtel. An engineer working in KL. BUT his equipment got robbed, and he asked me for $3000. This is all through Viber. So I rang him. He called me selfish for not giving money. I told him he was a scammer, and he hung up. He lived in Sydney at The Rocks too. I got the same long emails too. He sent the same pictures too. One son living in London. Parents dead. His name means heaven. Etc etc....... BLOODY MEN. He was on tinder too. We had chatted for 3 weeks. His email was celiobch@gmail.com

Thank You ladies,
Somehow I thought to googled is email address celiobch and came across this page. celiobch11@gmail.com is going strong with his lies and deception. Same story as everyone else. I matched him on Tinder. Says he is 16kms from me in Perth. This guy is good and obviously been doing it for years. He must have racked in some money from this scam or he wouldn't still be going. This is my latest email 25/3/16. Fortunately I'm now aware. Keep safe people.

(quote)Happy Easter, How are you? hope your day is going well. Thanks for sharing a lot more about you with me and I really do appreciate your openness and honesty . You are a beautiful woman in and out and you sound and seem really kind and loving, i guess you will always get such compliments from others . I'm sorry about how your marriage ended , We deserve the best as we are good people and I believe there is someone out there for everyone .

I believe in Soul Mates, I miss being in a relationship, I miss the feeling of knowing you have someone that cares and love you , someone that will always be there that you can share and do a lot with and mostly i miss the intimacy which is very important to me in a relationship as it binds and connects two people together . I am a very monogamous man in nature, I know I am ready to fall in love again and I have so much of love, respect, loyalty, honesty and support to give to the right woman and hoping to get the same in return and stay happy forever.

From everything you have described about yourself , i would say that we really do tick lots of boxes and we are looking for so much in common in a relationship. So YES I am very interested in getting to know you better and I love that we can communicate easily and freely. .

Do you have Viber app on your phone? we can chat in real time and get to talk for free anytime too, you can look it up, would be lovely getting to know each other :)

I am enjoying getting to know you and It is refreshing to know that we are wanting the same things

Have a lovely weekend gorgeous woman and you are in my thoughts xx(quote)

He's still at it...says he lives in kings park...same form letter...hasn't asked for money..I reverse imaged him and got Todd Hunter. Is this an offence to report? I thought he was suss early on..way too good to be true, form letter, no one is that upfront to begin with. It's unrealistic. Also he doesn't really acknowledge what you write. If it's too good to be true it usually is. Trust your instincts. Never give money to strangers.

Well I met Celio online yesterday. He's just gone to Kuala Lumpur for work (apparently). The lengthy email I received from him was identical to the one above. Thank you for posting all of this information- he sounded a bit too good to be true. I'm glad I didn;t waste any more time on him. I think I might play with him a bit.
