Name: Kirk Anderson a/k/a Kirk D. Anderson
Address: Fall River, Massachusetts
Other Comments: I communicated with Kirk Anderson for 4 to 5 weeks, via phone, email, and text messaging. He suggested we use Skype and or Yahoo messenger which did not come about. He claimed to be born in Austrailia, schooled in S.Africa, was widowed 5 years, with 25 yr old daughter Michelle attending Manchester University in England. Due to a death in my family, did not get together and day before we are to meet, he was called pursuant to contract w/ British Arways. He claimed to be an air raft engineer three decades.
Tel nos he provided: (401) 239-2693, (401) 753-8587, an international number: 011 447 424 459834
He was retiring in May, not to renew his aircraft contracts and going into diamond/gem consulting business, which he claimed to be working on while in England. He asked if I would receive package so I would deliver it to him when I picked him up at local airport in Providence, Rhode Island. I accepted. I dud not open package. I was to pick him up on March 22, but missed his call the night before. I waited three days, feeling terrible that something happened. I was worried for him as well as his daughter. I called all numbers, emailed, and textd to no avail. I was sickened with worry. I made one last attempt, got through, and he said he was stuck in customs fir 48 hours, no phone, no way to contact anyone. He was being held because he did not have documentation for gems and diamonds he +was carrying. He told me to look up Kimberly Process. I told him I opened envelope, figuring I would find some type of contact when I could not find him for the three days. The enclosure was a Cashiers check made payable to Kirk Anderson drawn from Sun National Bank, Vineland, New Jersey. The amount of the check...$105,000.00.
I did not receive anymore emails, telephone calls, or text messages fir two days. Wondering what was happening, still believing this was all legitimate, I called him, he said he was going to call me, but due to time difference, wanted to wait, so as not to disturb me so early in the morning. He then asks me to get $4,000.00 to him by going to Wal-Mart and buying a pre-paid debit card. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T HAVE THE FUNDS AVAILABLE. He said he scrapped up $16,000.00, and needed $4,000.00 to get out of the situation. He took tuition money back from Michelle, his daughter, that he had just given to her. I asked about his mum in Austrailia, who he claimed owned a jewelry store and sold it 15 years ago for a substantial amount of money. She wanted him to take it over 14 years ago, but because of the demands if his aircraft engineering profession, he could not. I asked if I could deposit his check for him, into his account. He said no that he had paperwork to complete before cashing.
I have not heard from Kirk Anderson, who was introduced to me by chemistry.com. I am notifying chemistry.com if this.
I took check to bank and they confirmed it was not real. In fact, had I deposited and or cashed the check, I would be considered an accomplice to the scam, according to the bank representative. Had I deposited the check and provided the money to Kirk Anderson, the bank, after 7 days or so would come after me, personally, for the money disbursed by the bank.
Also the Fed ex envelope I received came from: Leddy Calahan, 24000 Avila Road, Suite 4100, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
Remember the old saying 'if it's too good to be true, it probably is'
This situation has provided to me an education in many many ways. It is a tragedy that these scammers affect kind hearted, trustworthy people who are trying to get to the next level in life, trying to find a soul mate, that now they will be subject to such scrutiny.

Thank you for this report of scam. The phone numbers given here the 2 US landline scammers goes under spoofed numbers pretending to be a resident in US and the third phone number with start 011 4474 is phone number combinations that especially Nigerian scammers are using ,the scenario you have given here points out 419 scammmers involved in check frauds and money laundry ,so you did exactly what anyone should do and go with the check to a bank and have it verified as this is a very common trick by scammers.
Scam phone numbers in the United Kingdom (+44):
If an email mentions a UK phone number starting with +4470, it usually means that the sender of that mail is not in the UK at all and it is almost guaranteed to be a scam.
Usually the presence of a +44 70 number in a 419 scam email means you're dealing with criminals based in Nigeria who are using these numbers to make people believe they're dealing with someone legitimate who is in the UK instead of a criminal in an Internet cafe on a different continent.

I am looking for my best friend/soul mate/lover. Someone I know that well that I feel comfortable in their presence and not having to say anything. Someone I can trust that deeply that I can tell them anything and everything. Share my deepest feelings with and know they will stand by me whatever. Someone reliable who wants to be there for me in any situation because they love me. Someone I can grow old with
The pictures above are me. No, I am not Kirk D. Anderson (you probably already guessed that), and no, I don't live in Fall River, MA - I live in New York City.
I'm also not looking for a girlfriend - I've been gay my whole life.
Any women being sent these pictures, along with a request to meet, should know with certainty that it's a scam. I'm not looking for a wife (however, if your brother is available, show him the pictures and let me know what he thinks). Someone copied the pictures from my Facebook account and is using them to catfish women all over the globe. I'm stunned that he couldn't find someone better looking to pirate than my poor mug.
To all the women who have been disappointed, I'm sorry that that happened to you. I'm trying to shut this guy down but websites are not being cooperative.
