Name: Mike Caruso
Other Comments: guy pretended to be a navy seal stationed overseas and when I wanted to see him in person to take the relationship serious, he told me I needed to email his commander than fill out a form, which I ended up looking online and found out about the scam about being asked to pay to get the person to come home, once I asked him more questions he claimed to be offended and stopped communicating with me, he had wanted my home address which I refuse to give my address and told him if I was expected to pay anything I would not do it, he was supposed to have a house here so I told him to use his own address and pay for the fees himself and come and show me that there was nothing fishy going on, but instead he said I had broken his heart by doubting and that this had shown him how I really was, not hear anything more ever since.
I just wanted to ellaborate a bit more on what I said above as I have been educating myself on this matter and now can look back and see something that if I knew were red flags that this was a scammer. Shortly after we began communication over email, he deleted his profile on the dating website and when I asked why he said he wanted to just focus on me and thought we had something special going on. He told me his last girlfriend had died on a traffic accident and he was ready to find love again 2 yrs after her death. Within weeks of chatting he told me he was falling in love with me already and believed God brought me to his life. His writing should have also being a hint, which I did find as bad grammar but did not think much if it 'till now and pretty much always when talking in 1st person, for example saying I love you, he would almost all the time write 'i' and not 'I'. At the beginning he claimed to be stationed in Japan, then in the last few days he said he was elsewhere and when I asked where rather than saying something like he could not say or undisclosed, he used the word 'private' which did not seem like proper wording to me, but as everything I did not make much of it at the time. Towards the end once we were talking about him taking leave to come see me, he gave me the email of who he said to be his commander, which was just a gmail address, so once I read about this sort of scam, I asked him if leaves are so closely watched, which is the reason why according to him, he needed my address to put on the form and not use the address of the supposed home he has in this area. I also questioned why would his commander not have an official navy email address to deal with something that was supposed to be something closely guarded, he then just acted all offended and hurt, at this point he had been trying to rush me with the form, telling me that if we did not get the leave processed soon, he was going to be sent to Mali and had mentioned that one of his colleagues had been killed there on the recent days, I get now it was all to get me worried and to push me to feel obligated to help, one of the last thing he said is that I did not care and he was just going to end up having to be deployed to Mali, instead of coming home and be safe with me. I will say it never got to the point that I was asked for money, but I had been told by him and his supposed commander that there would be fees to be paid to rush his leave and due to him having overused his leave the year before, and he used to say that his commander would tell me after the form was turned in as to how much 'we' needed to pay, not 'till I realize it was a scam did I understand I was the was expected to be paying to get his leave approved. when I did not reply to a couple of his emails, he switched back to being really sweet and telling me that he just wanted to be with me and knew nothing of the things I read online, I replied pressing with more questions and he again acted upset saying that God was showing him who I really was and that was the last I ever heard of him. In the last few days I have learned how to check what IPs an email is sent from and per what I found, he was actually emailing me from the UK while claiming to be elsewhere.

Thank you for reporting this scammer to this site.Note the scammer is not the one on the photos ,this is probably scammers from Ghana behind this scam .Could you please post a header from especially where he asks for money? .Yes if the IP is not showing his real location where he says he is in the mails,of course it is someone who is not honest ,asking for money from strangers is also a scam.
All kind regards //Miss Marple//
Sorry Miss Marple, I got rid of everything, I got rid of the emails 1st as I do not want any reminder of this experience, I deleted the pictures too after I submitted the information to this website, per the IPs I saw in the header prior to getting rid of the emails, he was in England, yeah I do not imagine the person in the pictures is the scammer. Just figured if someone else is given this pictures, they should be wary of who they are in contact with.
