I left detailed info under the Ron Allen thread because this person uses many similar techniques, including the name of his 'son in London' - 'Marcus' - and the issue of going to perform construction abroad. I have more details on that part of the scam tho:He claimed to have to supply his OWN cash to pay workers in Chad.even tho he was supposedly on a UN Contract. I questioned this & he said this was common. Then today when he called, he said he'd had enough money to pay some of the workers, but there were still five he had not been able to pay. From what I read about the Ron Allen scam, I would probably soon have been asked to help come up with $ to pay these people . I am so glad I found out about this scam today, rather than later...thanks very much for this site. I hope my info helps someone else cut these guys off at the knees.

'I was contacted by this man calling himself Rayan Brent through Senior
Friend Finders. They have since taken his profile down. I got the same story.
He said he got a U.N. contract on one day, and had to leave for Chad the next
day, take a large amount of cash to pay the workers, but he ran out so needed
me to send him more. He wanted me to send money in care of Douglas More
in Lagos, Nigeria. This happened on March 2, 2009. He also told me he had a
son studying in England named Marcus and a sob story about an unfaithful wife
and his parents being killed in a car crash while coming to visit him. He told me
he was in love with me (had never met me) and was referring to me as his wife.
He sent me pictures of his dog and a beautiful house he claimed was where he
lived in Keller, Virginia. He speaks with a heavy accent. As I write this, he is
supposed to be calling me back soon to get the details on when I would send
him the money. He is going to get a earful when he calls back. Thanks so much
for this site. It confirmed my suspicions.

I've been contacted by him via 'Tagged'. Kept tellin him that there were no funds. (even if I had them, he wouldn't get them.) And I admit he is very authentic sounding. Rarely uses the computer but calls.

For me he says he lives in Keller, VA. 19 year old son, Marcus, sent pictures of a dog he calls Bailey, and even mentions his elderly neighbor. I told him to get his neighbor to help him with the funds.
