Hello I find trying to read, Your story very hard.
I say that because, You should have stopped all communication
with this scammer a very long time ago.
You seem to be all caught up in the story this guy is feeding, You.
You need to break all ties with the lying piece of trash.
They manipulate, Your feelings and, You are allowing this to continue.
Its a scammer there is nothing to be gained by keep communicating with him.
Just to so, You will know. Do not feel sorry because of the poor conditions in
Africa. These scammers live better than many, High paid Americans.
The part of Africa where they are operating from is not a poor place like,
You may think. They do not care for one moment about if, You live or die
because they take everything someone has. They are cold hearted despite
the act they put on. They are no more then thieves and should be in Prison.
Everything, You have been told and, I mean everything is all made up.
They use fake names, stolen photo's, they have many e mail addresses.
One scammer alone works as many as 300 at a time.
They work in groups frequently. Families even.
I just like, You have been alone for nearly 15 years now.
I do not allow anyone to hurt me any more, I am done with being hurt.
I was vulnerable because of being lonely that made me a easy target.
These scammers know we were raised to trust and respect others.
That is just a weakness for them to exploit.
You absolutely must end all connection to this and move on with, Your life.
There is nothing to be gained by staying hooked up.
I hope, I have said something that has helped, You.
I wish, You the best and please take the time to learn about scams and
scammers so, You can avoid anything in the future. Scammers do not give up.
The very same scammer may contact, You again using another fake name,
more stolen photo's, another e mail address.
You have given enough of, Your time and life for nothing.
By the way never post, Your e mail address on this site.
Scammers watch this site. You may ask to have it removed by contacting
the site administrator. His e mail address is on the upper left hand side of the page.
Just above where it says, Tell a friend. Be sure to tell, Him the name of this thread.

I am sorry, Your having trouble trying to figure out if the guy is a scammer.
To begin with Yes most definitely without any doubt of any kind, He is a scammer.
Now to explain why, I said that. LOL
When, I finish writing this, I will still say, Hes a scammer no matter what
story, You may have been told.
OK to begin with, I will fill in some of the things, You did not say but very
obvious to me.
Your middle aged no offense intended. Just stating that as that has
everything to do why, You were picked as a target by the scammer.
You mentioned match.com it doesn't matter singlesnet.com etc.
No matter if its Christianmingle or any claims that any site is so called
safe. There is no such thing on the Internet right now. None of the sites
are scammer free. Scammers can appear on a site for a matter of minutes
hook up with their targeted victim and be gone. That is because they use other
peoples e mail addresses to create a fake profile. In Your case the scammer
contacted, You first right ? Then this individual fell in, Love with, You in nothing flat.
A total stranger suddenly saying nothing but how destiny brought, You together.
Or something similar. Then, He told, You, He is from Florida but business
has taken, Him to Ghana. This particular idiot forgot one critical detail about,
His cover story. Ghana is not known at all for Diamonds or Gold either one.
Wrong part of Africa. LOL No where near Ghana. So, He screwed that up already.
I can post pictures of the very gold, He may have sent, You pictures of.
Or even the Diamonds. This particular scam is to lure, You in with promises of gaining
wealth. Trouble is, He needs, Your help. Something will happen.
That depends on the scammer and how, He wants to play it.
You may be asked to pay fees to ship money or gold or Diamonds.
Or the guy will suddenly have a terrible accident and need, Your money to
help. Or, He may say, He was robbed and needs money to travel or pay fees.
Just because, You may not have been asked for money yet means nothing
at all. Some scammers wait months to get, You to volunteer giving them
money so they don't have to ask at all. Very commonly that is done now.
You are being manipulated. Your feelings are what, He's counting on.
You were chosen as a victim like, I said because of age.
Our Generation was taught to respect one another and trust one another.
Perfect combination for a scammer to exploit. You cannot believe its a
scam because no one could be that nice and be evil. Well, Your wrong.
They make, You believe they are the man of, Your dreams.
That should warn, You right there. It does not matter at all that, You said, You
have no money. He may offer to send, You money by money orders or checks
or even something involving a credit card.
Just cash them and there always is always more than necessary that,
You just send the amount over back to, Him.
Don't fall for this as the checks or money orders are fake.
You end up getting busted for passing fakes.
Scammers as, I said do not care if, You say, Your broke.
My scammer knew that, I am homeless and a Disabled, Vietnam Veteran.
Bottom line, I lost $1,500.00 USD that, I can do nothing about.
Scammers use fake names, stolen photo's. Whoever, Your looking at is
not who, You are really talking to. Even if they use a cam they can fake that
also. They have hundreds of e mail addresses.
So, Your asking to have the e mail address checked.
Seeing how, You already know its Ghana. No surprise there.
You must believe me when, I say there are no white or black
men or woman from Ghana on line at all no matter what they say as to
where they say they are from. There is nothing but Scammers coming out
of Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Gold Coast, Ivory Coast all of West Africa.
You cannot believe anybody from there right now for any reason.
There are hundreds of scammers working out of there.
There are no business people on dating sites from there either.
Without any other information other than the fact this is from Ghana.
That by it self proves its a scam and there is no chance at all that its not.
You can believe, Me now or end up suffering the loss of money and being
hurt very deeply. These thieves scam 200 or more people at the same time.
They are the best liars in the World right now. Truth is, They don't care if,
You lose everything, You own. There are hundreds of stories on this site
where that has happened. Most did not heed the warning they got.
They went ahead and risked it on someone they did not truly know.
Simply put never trust anyone on the Internet who asks for money.
Plus like in this case its just a matter of time.
Never send money to anyone not even a relative unless, You first prove
it was really, Your relative who asked for it.
Do not make the mistake of telling this guy, You know the truth.
Do not mention this site as where, You found out the truth.
Either one of these mistakes will cause, Your scammer to lie even more.
They adapt to what, You say. They literally will tell, You any lie to keep, You hooked.
If, You try to argue the point it will make it harder to end the hold, He has
on, You. I say that because from the moment, You first made contact with,
Him. The process of manipulating, Your feelings started then.
He will cause, You to doubt, Your own judgment. Yes they are that good at it.
Simple guide lines for being on the net.
# 1 If it sounds to good to be true it is a scam.
# 2 If anyone falls for, You in nothing flat its a scam. No one falls in Love that fast.
# 3 If anyone from Africa or has any African connection in their story its a scam.
# 4 If the person claims to be from a English speaking Country but struggles
with it. Its a scam.
# 5 Never allow anyone to have, Your information that, You do not know.
That includes photo's etc. Your photo's can be used to scam someone else.
# 6 Never post your e mail address on this site. Not unless, You want to be flooded
by scammers. They watch this site all the time.
End whatever connection to the scammer, You have now. Waiting will make it
worse. If, You think, Your going to set, Him up. Good luck with that.
Some scammers are being busted. But the odds of tracing, Your particular scammer
down is next to impossible. Get on with, Your life that's more important than
chasing a ghost down. As, I said they have many e mail addresses.
Many fake names. You don't really know what, He looks like.
You do not owe the thief any explanations just end it.
Then prepare, Yourself to be scammed again. The very same scammer
can contact, You again using another fake identity.
You must learn to tell if its a scam on, Your own if, Your going to be on
any dating sites at all. I personally will never use another site again.
I will meet Mrs right in Gods time.
By the way scammers will use Christianity or Religion in their scams.
You must understand they have no moral barrier they won't cross to get, Your
money. They will patiently wait months to finish a scam just so, You won't
suspect them. You are already ahead of most who come to this site.
You actually suspect somethings wrong.
Listen to, Your gut as they say scammers give themselves away all the time.
They are very easy to catch in lies. As they are to busy to keep track of
everything they have said to, You. Your just one victim they have plenty others
going at the same time.
Well, I have given it my best shot to try to help, You.
The rest is up to, You now. End this connection now.
The longer, You remain hooked to any scammer the more information
they gather from, You to use in scamming someone else.
Please come back and post pictures, You were sent and make a complete
report about the scam. The photo's like, I said are most likely stolen
from someone, Who may not even know they are being used.
It is important they get posted as the scammers ability to keep using
them is taken away from them when they can be found as being
reported. It actually harms the person they were stolen from more if
they are not posted.
Kindest Regards in all You do Agent 86 Maxwell Smart \\'^o^'//
This scammer goes by Thomas Mclaren. He says he is half Puerto Rican and half Irish. He claims to be a petro chemical engineer stuck in Lagos Nigeria because he was robbed of his workers salary. He asked me for $457. I don't know why such a specific number but I told him no and all of a sudden he didn't love me anymore or want to meet me when he got back to the states. Ladies BEWARE - He is a smooth talker and sends you poetry to try and make you beleive he loves you. Obviously he picked the wrong girl to try it on. I have also reported him.
wanwan from Japan
be careful !
This is a scammer !!
looking for anyone who is familiar with Steve Morgan, who claims to be in Nigeria on business, says he is out of money and needs to get medical help for his mother, who is there, as well. very romantic and well spoken. thank you.
There are numerous scam reports associated with the name Steve and
Most originate from Nigeria also.
Problem is with the very limited information, You posted there is no
way to nail down exact information.
The photo most likely is stolen. It is very common for scammers to
continue using a fake name but change the photo to another stolen one.
You gave no e mail address or anything else to go on.
What, You did say though does indicate the average scammer story.
Guy from somewhere else in Africa on business. Tragic story of loss.
Needs money is more proof of a scam. Mother needs help. LOL
The Romantic part is designed to manipulate, Your feelings.
My advice to, You is this is a scammer and, He is hooking, You with
stolen photo's mixed with Romantic talk making You believe a total
stranger suddenly is attracted to someone, He has never met.
Its all lies.
Please stop being made a fool by this cold hearted thief.
He doesn't care about anything but money.
There are no White men on line from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Gold Coast,
Ivory Coast, All of West Africa.
Never tell the scammer about this site no matter what happens.
Never post, Your e mail address on this site.
Scammers watch this site constantly.
Ignore any postings on here after mine saying contact them for help.
Scammers are now trying to scam victims on this site by offering help.
Please end the connection with the scammer now.
Your most likely hooked up with a Black man sitting in a Internet Cafe
with hundreds of other scammers working from Nigeria every day.
The odds of, You being connected to a real person is next to nothing.
You would have better odds of winning millions of dollars in a lottery.
If, You allow, Yourself to be fooled by a stolen photo and Romantic talk
then, Your just set up to lose everything, You own.
You do not have to believe me but, I assure, You, I would not say
anything to, You at all if there were a chance this wasn't a scam.
Please do not let the sweet talk from a stranger trick, You.
Please learn about scams now because, You do not know how to tell if its
a scam on, Your own. Never send money to anyone for any reason.
That is what the scammers are counting on.
Do not let this guy talk, You into staying hooked up with, Him.
He makes a living by fooling people do not become another victim.
Please post all, You can about this scam. Full name, e mail address,
phone number, Street address, explain how, You were contacted.
This information will help others avoid being scammed.
Do not be fooled by the fact, You are unable to match every exact detail.
I made that mistake when, I was warned and lost $1,500.00
Scammers change their stolen photo's all the time.
They use many fake names, They have many e mail addresses.
They can fake appearing on a web cam.
This guy has told, You exactly what a scammer does that's not just a
coincidence. Your being fooled into caring about someone who doesn't
exist. Please post any questions, You may have and, I will see, You
get the help, You need. Never allow anyone to say they will help, You
for money. Everyone here volunteers for free.
I hope, You listen to me and stop this scammer now.
What you do is lead them on until they give you more information on where there at. Then you pose as international police and fry them

Thanks to previous anonymous poster whose story is same as mine. Was suspicious of Thomas McLaren for about the past month and played along to see if he'd ask me for money. He never did but the rest of the m.o. is accurate, particularly the poetry part! Surprise, surprise, poetry was plagiarized. -- Never took his bait and recently got an email from 'Sheela, Tom's wife to be'! Ha! Here's the photo I'd had access to... I think they discoverd Brazil, now. Maybe because we don't know a very good English, maybe we are just a new target.
The lies they tell are becaming more and more elaborated, more fantastic and - sometimes more trustworthy.
They are playing with a volathil material - human souls - and worst than this - they know how to break your walls to reach your feelings.
I was searching for more details today regarding Ghana, after said no in a chat to a man that was filling me with poetry, whilst asking for 'help' with a fantastic story, then I found you guys, and now I know what scammer means.
I didn't send money, I didn't accept to receive 'packages' but how many woman and men did! It has to stop!!
Here you have the header of one of the e-mails I have received all from Ghana - Accra, and he was saying he was in an Iraq base.
